Corrosion Under Insulation (C.U.I.) is a severe form of external corrosion that occurs when steel equipment becomes corroded by water being collected or absorbed by the insulation protecting it.

SPI Performance Coatings’ polyurea coatings are applied to the steel equipment to form a chemically resistant barrier thereby preventing exposure to water and oxygen that would cause steel to corrode. This treatment can be applied to both new and in-use assets, to prevent or slow down the effects of corrosion.
